How do you respond or feel when\u00a0the girl you\u2019re talking to stops responding?<\/p>\n<p>You start wondering why she\u2019s gotten quiet.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Is she just busy with work?<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Is she ignoring me? <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Should I move on?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s not an easy situation to be in for a single guy. You get confused, stressed, and possibly, upset.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, there are some situation and cues that will help you figure out if you still have a shot, or if it\u2019s time to move on.<\/p>\n<p>Here are 6 situations single guys may find themselves in when a girl stops responding. Each offers a verdict of whether she\u2019s ignoring you, busy, or something else entirely.<\/p>\n<h1>How To Tell If She\u2019s Ignoring You Or Just Busy<\/h1>\n<h2>#1. She\u2019s active on social media.<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Verdict<\/strong>: She\u2019s probably ignoring you.<\/p>\n<p>This doesn\u2019t take a rocket scientist to decipher. The distance between the Instagram app and her text messages is between 5 millimeters and 2 inches on her phone screen.<\/p>\n<p>If she\u2019s clearly using social media but <a href=\"https:\/\/bobbyriotraining.com\/advice\/when-she-doesnt-respond-to-text\/\">not responding to your texts<\/a>, it\u2019s probably a sign that she\u2019s ignoring you.<\/p>\n<p>The best thing you can do in this situation is show her you don\u2019t need her by not freaking out and sending a bunch of texts (see #2). In a few days, give it another try by sending her a message.<\/p>\n<h2>#2. You have texted her 4 times in a row without a reply.<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Verdict<\/strong>: Hard to tell, but stop sending her so many texts, or she\u2019s going to think you\u2019re crazy.<\/p>\n<p>In this case, I\u2019m less worried about her being busy or ignoring you. It\u2019s probably appropriate to put more blame on the guy than the girl.<\/p>\n<p>There are\u00a0<em>very few<\/em>\u00a0good reasons to text someone 4 times without a reply. For example, if your house catches on fire. In that case, feel free to send someone 4 texts in a row. Other than that, it\u2019s too much.<\/p>\n<p>Whether she\u2019s busy or ignoring you, it actually looks bad for you that you can\u2019t wait for her to get back to you. It suggests you are impulsive and insecure.<\/p>\n<p>Send a text, and if she answers, great. If she doesn\u2019t, wait a full day before you send her a second text.\u00a0<strong>Yes, a full day<\/strong>. If she doesn\u2019t answer the second text either, get back on your favorite dating app and get to work.<\/p>\n<h2>#3. She doesn\u2019t text you a lot, but still initiates conversation.<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Verdict<\/strong>: She\u2019s busy.<\/p>\n<p>A good sign that she\u2019s interested but genuinely has a lot on her plate is that she still texts you first. Do your best to understand her situation and give her space if she really does have a lot going on. Ask if you can take her out or support her somehow. Girls like that.<\/p>\n<p>Be aware, though. If every first text leads with \u201c<em>sorry<\/em>!\u201d,\u00a0<em>\u201cI\u2019m the worst!\u201d,<\/em>\u00a0or \u201cI\u00a0<em>forgot<\/em>!\u201d, this is actually bad news. Once or twice is fine, but excessively means that she is just stringing you along. At some point, she has to take the initiative to change her behavior.<\/p>\n<p>If this is the case, she is also probably bad at prioritizing and a little all over the place. Unless you\u2019re okay with that, it\u2019s probably time to move on.<\/p>\n<h2>#4. The conversation drops off when you suggest hanging out alone.<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Verdict<\/strong>: She\u2019s ignoring you. And she\u2019s not that into you.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re trying to decide if she\u2019s ignoring you or just busy, go <a href=\"https:\/\/bobbyriotraining.com\/advice\/texts-that-reveal-how-she-feels\/\">re-read the last few text messages<\/a> before she went MIA. Look for patterns. When does she usually stop replying?<\/p>\n<p>Instead of being upfront about their intentions, many girls think it\u2019s easier to \u201clet a guy down easy\u201d by not saying anything at all.<\/p>\n<p>If your attempts to take things to the next level are met with radio silence, she wants you to know the feelings aren\u2019t mutual. Don\u2019t believe it\u2019s because she was busy.<\/p>\n<h2>#5. She \u201chas to\u201d cancel or reschedule multiple times.<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Verdict<\/strong>: She\u2019s not as busy as she\u2019s pretending to be.<\/p>\n<p>When a girl sends you a text message saying she \u201chas to\u201d do something, beware. When it comes to social outings, women have far more say over things than guys do. It\u2019s rare that women \u201chave to\u201d do anything social.<\/p>\n<p>Call it society, call it what you want, but it\u2019s true. Here\u2019s why:<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s far more likely that- as a guy- you\u2019ll get stuck doing something you don\u2019t really want to do. Single women almost always have more than one option, so if it isn\u2019t something that floats their boat, they\u2019ll find an excuse to not do it.<\/p>\n<p>Now, she could totally have to do something work-related that causes her to cancel. That\u2019s probably real and you should live with that.\u00a0Canceling once isn\u2019t a big deal.<\/p>\n<p>But if she says she \u201chas to\u201d cancel multiple times, it\u2019s almost guaranteed that \u201chas to\u201d actually means she isn\u2019t feeling it.<\/p>\n<h2>#6. You only talk sporadically or during odd hours.<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Verdict<\/strong>: Tough to say. But you may just want to move on.<\/p>\n<p>If she only texts you at 6am, 11pm, or on her lunch break, there\u2019s no telling what her deal really is. Maybe she\u2019s busy. Maybe she\u2019s ignoring you. Maybe she\u2019s got 4 guys on the hook and you\u2019re her late night call.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, in a situation like this, it might be best for all parties to just move on.<\/p>\n<p>If she\u2019s busy, that\u2019s a sign of things to come. She\u2019s not going to have much time to hang out, go on dates, or be with you if it ends up working out. It may be best to cut bait and find someone with a better schedule.<\/p>\n<p>If she\u2019s ignoring you or sporadically answering, you aren\u2019t a priority.
