Mistake #1: Lowering yourself to her level to fit in with her age group.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Too often guys feel the need to act younger around a younger girl.<\/p>\n<p>But when you do this you come across as \u201csupplicating\u201d yourself and trying hard.<\/p>\n<p>It is way better to embrace your maturity than to hide it.<\/p>\n<p>Would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000123\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">George Clooney<\/a> try to act\/dress\/talk like a 25 year old when hanging out with a younger woman?<\/p>\n<p>Nope.<\/p>\n<p>He would use his age as an advantage.<\/p>\n<p>And more than likely she would be trying to raise herself to fit in with his age group.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>&#8220;Older Guy&#8221; Mistake #2: Bringing your age to her attention with self deprecating jokes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Another mistake I see older guys making is continually making self deprecating remarks about their age.<\/p>\n<p>They joke around like \u201cIm not young anymore\u201d Or \u201cBack in my day\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Guys usually do this because they are uncomfortable with the age difference and they try to ease the tension they feel with jokes.<\/p>\n<p>But in the end, this just lets the girl know you\u2019re uncomfortable, and eventually it&#8217;s going to make her uncomfortable.<\/p>\n<p>It also continually brings the age difference to her attention, preventing her for just enjoying your company without thinking about whether you&#8217;re &#8220;too old&#8221; for her.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>&#8220;Older Guy&#8221; Mistake #3: Failing Girls (age related) Tests<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>So a lot of times girls will test older guys with comments like:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhy are you still single at 40?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>or<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYou\u2019re too old to be here\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It is a TRAP.<\/p>\n<p>Just ignore the comments and continue along with the conversation.<\/p>\n<p>The worst thing you can do is start explaining yourself to her<em> \u201cWell, I haven\u2019t met the right person\u2026 I\u2019ve been focused on work.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Just ignore the trap.
