We’ve all been there, you’re talking to a hot girl you finally got the courage to approach. And it’s going well, but then you hit the wall.
You get nervous, you feel unprepared and you have NO idea what to say next.
It happens to everyone from time to time but after I reveal these four top secret tools for never running out of things to say, you’ll know how to handle it. This way you end up making her more attracted to you in the process.
Let’s go through the 4 ways to keep a conversation going.
Tool #1: Make an Acronym
The first thing that you can do is make an acronym. Create an acronym of your subjects so you can think of a letter to get a new subject.
I used to have an acronym that was MARK, which was:
- Making money
- Analyze people
- Reality TV
- Karaoke.
Those were my four subjects I liked to talk about.
Whatever it is, an acronym is simply a word where the letters describe other words.
Step 1: Make a list of things you like to talk about.
Step 2: Create an acronym
Not too many, you don/t want to have a 10-letter acronym like ATMOSPHERE, or anything like that.
Instead you will want to make it maybe 5 to 6 letters. Those are your bailouts.
So when you’re like, “Crap, what can I say?” Think of your acronym. That will give you five or six subjects that you’re good at talking about.
That’s a really, really powerful piece of advice there. One of the best pieces of advice you’re ever going to get!
Tool #2: The Environment Game
The second thing you can do is “the environment game.”
When you run out of things to say, use your environment to fuel the conversation.
Specifically:
- People around you
- Events going on
People: Specifically try to focus on people. Get good at “people watching” and commenting on the people you see around you.
One thing I always say when I run out of things to say is, “Do you know why I’m such a people-watcher?” and I always make really mean comments. I’ll just make mean comments about people who are walking around. It’s a great way to kill a couple minutes.
Events:
- If the bar is interesting
- If there are people street-performing at the outdoor mall
- If there are people handing out samples
- If the mall is crowded.
Tip: Look at what’s going on. And then use creative misinterpretation.
This means look for ways to “creatively misinterpret” the environment.
Things like:
- Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could just steal clothes and run away like Bonnie and Clyde?
- Would it be amazing if we could shrink down into that fish tank and then we could watch people at the bar through the fish tank?
Look for opportunities to be creative but use the environment.
#3: Cycle Your Techniques
The third thing that you can do is to cycle your techniques.
For instance:
- Throw in a rapport question
- challenge
- or a tease.
Try something different. Don’t just do the same thing over and over and over again.
A lot of guys think that they need to just do more attraction material to get attraction. Sometimes you have to do different things in order to get the results that you want, because what you’re doing just isn’t working.
Don’t be afraid to try something that maybe won’t work in order to keep the going, because something is always better than nothing.
That’s like one of my rules when it comes to keeping the going.
Rule: It’s always better to say something than it is to say nothing.
Because saying nothing, we know definitively doesn’t work. You can’t get dates by never saying a word to girls.
#4: Talk About Something You’re Passionate About
And lastly, if worst comes to worst, talk about something you care about.
It may not be interesting, but it will buy you time.
Maybe its:
-
- Video games
- Comic books,
- Music
- Your Dog
- Skiing
- Traveling
Whatever, don’t be afraid to talk about it, as long as it’s something you care about and you are passionate and enthusiastic about. Because enthusiasm is contagious, as a crazy bipolar magician named Mystery once said.
